European study supports warnings to avoid tanning beds and cut your risk from skin cancer. The study estimates that one in every 20 cases (5.4 percent) of the most lethal form of skin cancer, melanoma, can be attributed to tanning bed use.
The story by Steven Reinberg reports that those that bronze themselves in tanning beds face a 20 percent increased risk of skin cancer, and that raised risk reaches 87 percent if they start before they are 35 years old, new research indicates.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is considering a ban on tanning beds for anyone under the age of 18. Bans are already in place in Brazil and New South Wales and the idea is gaining popularity in France.
Of the almost 64,000 new cases of melanoma in Western Europe each year, more than 3,400 can be blamed on tanning bed use, the researchers calculated. Tanning bed use is also estimated to cause 800 deaths from this deadly cancer annually.

Right now I am using Dove Energy Glow, and it’s working pttrey well. If you actually really rub it in you will get NO streaks, except maybe a little on your feet. The color is a little bit orangey, but in my opinion I like it better than my pale natural skin color!! Also, it doesn’t smell half as bad as the Jergen’s one, and it actually moisturizes really well. Just make sure to use a really good exfoliant in the shower to get rid of all the dead skin, I use a Dove body wash that smells like lemons and it works great!!References :
