From the Hill: Trump taps pesticide company exec to be USDA’s chief scientist

 

 

“President Trump this week named a former Dow Chemical Company executive who worked in the company’s pesticide division to be chief scientist at the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), the third major hire of a Dow alumnus in his administration.

Trump on Monday announced his intention to nominate Scott Hutchins to the position, one that has remained open since the nomination of Sam Clovis to the same post last year. Clovis had no scientific credentials and eventually withdrew his nomination, Mother Jones reported.”
