LOVE CANON PLAYS FOR MOVE CHARLOTTESVILLE FOR LESS CANCER AT THE SOUTHERN -CHARLOTTESVILLE VIRGINIA

May 4th Charlottesville Moves to raise funds and awareness for the Less Cancer Campaign! The evening begins with a Kentucky Derby Party and segues right into music and dancing with Love Canon! The event takes place at The Southern.

For nearly a decade, Less Cancer has been at the helm introducing prevention into the cancer conversation and educating individuals, families and communities about healthy choices and cancer risks. The organization is the founder of National Cancer Prevention Day.

Less Cancer has recently partnered with University of Virginia School of Nursing to create a fund for prevention/health promotion education and research. As partners, Less Cancer will reach people to educate, advocate and participate through relatable tools to include our website, social media networks and offline media to guide people to effective outcomes. Less Cancer engages these models in the social networks to Less Cancer followers of about 100,000 and to an expanded audience to individuals in over 30 countries – making this very local effort “global.”

Love Canon doesn’t cover the music of the ’80s as much as kidnap it and take it on a bluegrass-tinged joyride. .

There’s no shortage of clever musical re-enactors giving the first generation of MTV an ironic makeover: a fool’s errand, given that the music already was soaked in postmodern irony.
