If You See Something, Say Something

Friday, June 5 | 12–2 PM
Cowell Family Cancer Center – Traverse City, Michigan

Less Cancer presents “If You See Something, Say Something,” a unique cancer prevention program designed to empower trusted community professionals to recognize visible warning signs of cancer and other serious health concerns.

Many individuals interact regularly with professionals such as hairstylists, barbers, massage therapists, and personal care providers—people who often notice physical changes that others might overlook. This program provides these professionals with valuable knowledge to help identify concerning signs and encourage individuals to seek medical evaluation when appropriate.

The workshop focuses on:

• Recognizing visible signs and symptoms that may indicate cancer or other health conditions
• Understanding how early detection can improve outcomes
• Empowering trusted community professionals to support health awareness
• Strengthening community engagement in cancer prevention

By equipping these everyday professionals with simple awareness tools, the program helps expand the network of individuals who can play a role in early detection and prevention.

The program operates under Continuing Medical Education oversight through the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, ensuring accurate and medically reviewed information.

Together, through awareness and community engagement, we can help identify health concerns earlier and work toward the shared goal of Less Cancer.
