Take a four-hour tour with Jennifer Conlin, the founder and editor of CriticCar Detroit, a mobile citizen journalism venture that captures the voices of Detroit’s creative community on video and then shares them on social media. So far, CriticCar Detroit has captured more than 600 interviews at 70 venues in Detroit and had more than 16,000 YouTube hits. And it was our first year on the road.
Conlin, a journalist who has written extensively on Detroit, will give you a four-hour tour of the city’s buzzing art scene, from stops at traditional venues like the Detroit Institute of Arts and MOCAD to a look around the Heidelberg Project, Eastern Market’s letter press district, and the many new galleries popping up all over Detroit. Lunch included at one of Detroit’s most popular new spots, in between a packed day of culture cruising.
